My Pizza Calculator is run by Derrick Austin. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and the choices you have.

Calculator settings

The calculator saves your guest count, slices per person, pizza size, and topping mix in a cookie named pizza_calc_settings that lasts one year. Your browser sends it back when you load the calculator so the page can show your last settings. The site does not store those settings on its server, and they are not linked to your name or email.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit, how they arrive, and roughly where they are located. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your browser type, device, pages viewed, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use these reports only to improve the site. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

The site is supported by ads served through Google AdSense.

Like most websites, the hosting provider keeps standard request logs, such as IP address, browser, requested page, and time, for security and troubleshooting.

Embedded calculator

Sites that embed the calculator load it from this domain. The embedded version shows no ads and uses only the calculator settings cookie described above.

Links to other sites

Guides link to outside sources, and the tip link goes to Venmo. Some guides also contain affiliate links. When you click one, the affiliate network (such as Awin) and the retailer may set cookies to record that the visit came from this site, so the site can earn a commission on a purchase. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning events. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
